MIDDLE SCHOOL FINE ARTS
Ages 9 - 13
Description:
Middle school students will explore drawing, painting, and sculpture while applying design thinking and problem-solving in this dynamic course. Projects will incorporate blueprint drawing, perspective, and practical design, teaching students how art can address real-world challenges and express personal and community stories.
Students will build both technical skills and creative concepts, balancing functionality and artistry. Emphasizing creative problem-solving, collaboration, and constructive feedback, the course fosters a supportive environment for taking artistic risks. Through narrative and identity-based projects, students will use art as a tool for storytelling and self-expression, growing into confident, thoughtful creators.
