2025 WINTER SHOWCASE
This winter, Refuge Art School is hosting our first-ever Winter Showcase with a competitive painting event we’re calling Refuge Royale! Inspired by local favorites like Paint Wars and Canvas Royale, Refuge Royale will spotlight the incredible talents of our teachers and students in a fun, head-to-head art battle. Come out and cheer them on—it’s a night to celebrate the creativity and skill that make our community unique!

2024 SUMMER FESTIVAL
In our second annual Summer Festival, we celebrated Refuge Art School’s exciting milestone as a new non-profit! The day featured a dunk tank, raffles, mural tours by the COOL bus, and a variety of live art events. Families and friends enjoyed food trucks and student-led tables, all in support of keeping art education accessible for young artists in Lowell. This festival continued our tradition of coming together for creativity, community, and a shared vision for the future of Refuge Art School.
2023 SUMMER FESTIVAL
Our first-ever Summer Festival celebrated a decade of Refuge Art School and the opening of our new studio space! This special event was filled with live art, food trucks, and creative activities for all ages. Community members joined us for student-led tables featuring henna, face painting, and balloon animals—all while supporting our mission to make art accessible. This festival marked a powerful milestone in our journey, showcasing the vibrant community we've built together.
